He graduated from the University of Zurich with a bachelor's degree in economics and from the University of Bern with a master's degree in economics. He gained professional experience at OLZ while still a student. He also worked as a research intern at the Economic Affairs Department of the Canton of Zurich and at Bank Julius Baer.
